PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE
The membership of the JCMA is composed of any individuals or organizations who have interests in construction machinery, but the members authorized in the civil code are organizations only, such as public corporations, power companies, manufacturers, contractors, traders, maintenance services, lease and rental companies, institutes, consultants and associations.

■EXHIBITION AND DEMONSTRATION OF SNOW REMOVAL EQUIPMENT

This annual event is held at major cities in areas with heavy snowfall during the snowfall season to provide a rare opportunity to observe snow removal machinery and related devices used in Japan as well as demonstrations of actual snow removal work at the same time. |
■TECHNICAL WORKSHOPS |
Workshops on advanced and specialized technologies are held at places nationwide every year. |
■SYMPOSIUM ON CONSTRUCTION MACHINERY AND METHODS |
The symposium presents and discusses the results of the most recent studies on construction machinery and methods. Many people participate seeking new information on the trends of new machines and methods for construction. |
■OVERSEAS TOURS FOR CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT STUDY |
Our members are welcome to join our overseas tours, organized once or twice every year, to visit international construction equipment fairs and large-scale projects under construction in Europe and the USA. The destinations include Bauma and Hannover Messe in Germany, Intermat in France and Conexpo in USA, and include visits in the winter session to the International Road Conference and renowned project sites. |
■MOVIE PRESENTATIONS |
Films depicting construction equipment and projects are presented, including those recently produced by the national government, local governments and construction companies. |
■OTHERS |
Furthermore, JCMA organizes visiting tours to construction sites of large-scale and special construction projects. Our association also holds lectures on new technologies and projects in the public sector, industry, and presentations of new models or new construction methods.

■Chairman’s Award Selection Subcommittee |
Outstanding achievements in research, technical development and practical application are honored with awards, which are recognized as having made great contribution to technical improvements in construction mechanization for Japanese construction projects. |
■Editing Subcommittee of an in-house magazine titled “Construction Mechanization” |
This sub-committee is engaged in editing the “Construction Mechanization”, in-house magazine. |
■New Construction Methods Research Subcommittee |
This subcommittee investigates new key construction methods, related construction machinery and systems of application as well as their construction results and operating conditions. These methods and systems may be under research, or already developed and in use. The overview of findings appears in the “Construction Mechanization“ and on the website |
■New Models-Research Subcommittee |
The range of activities by this sub-committee includes the investigation of the development and import of new models of construction machinery, model change and attachment development. Findings appear in the “Construction Mechanization“ and on the website |
■Construction Economy Research Subcommittee |
This subcommittee is engaged in collection and analysis of information including the trends of demands for major construction equipment and materials, the current status of the construction industry, environmental measures and recycling of construction materials. The results are also presented in our journal “Construction Mechanization “. |

Research of foreign literature for introduction in the in-house magazine |
